Jens Gregersen: UPDATE/SOLUTION After having researched the market for alternatives to Securitas Direct, I checked all the smart alarm systems, I decided on Abode. Abode Smart Alarm is without monthly subscription, within some 12 months this alarm is paid back, after 12 months you'll save money each month, and you can even sell the alarm system 2nd hand afterwards. Abode basically has the same features as Securitas Direct, movement sensors with camera, door and window sensors, mobile app, keypad and more. THE BACKGROUND STORY Securitas Direct cancelled my contract and left me without protection with 1 hour notice. The REASON, they wanted me to buy additional equipment for 700 euros when my current setup works just fine. The SOLUTION, considering that Securitas Direct never sends agents when the alarm is triggered (once Securitas Direct even disconnected the alarm remotely while intruders were in the villa). I have decided to install my own alarm system, they are sold online. I will have the same protection but I will save the monthly fee of 45 euros. I've calculated that the new alarm system, with all the same features, will be paid back in one year, hereafter I'm saving more than 500 euros per year.

You call to claim and they tell you either to keep waiting or to unsubscribe. The loyalty service doesn't care if you help and solve the problem or if you unsubscribe. Today I signed the discharge tired of waiting (I hope it will be an easy process which I highly doubt) and I have hired a new security company. In these 6 months not a day with the protected premises... an absolute shame.
