SPICY YULI: what do users think?

Sheila Harjani: Spicy Yuli is the place to get high quality spices and teas. I came to get my ‘food souvenirs’ from Spain - saffron and paprika, and was helped by Yuli herself. She was very well-versed in not just the spices and blends that were on sale, but how they were collected / extracted and explained how to differentiate between the varying qualities that are marketed, saffron in this case. Yuli also made excellent recommendations for Spanish and African spice blends to relive my travels. Definitely recommend a visit to Yuli to stock up your pantry with Spanish and specialty spices.
Response: Thanks! It was a pleasure!

Amandawhittenart dotcom: The person who helped me was so genuine and knowledgeable. First, when I said I was just looking, he let me and didn't try to sell me anything. Then, when I did ask for help letting him know that I knew very little and was looking to buy spices for family in another country, he got out loads of spices. He then proceeded to let me smell them, to explain their contents, origins, etc. Considering that it is a specialty shop, I definitely think that what I spent was reasonable (15€, referto pic to see). He sincerely is passionate about cooking and spices because he asked me where I'm from and really wanted to know about spices typical from that area. I will definitely be going back. I'm so glad I found this shop!

Lauren Steinberg: I ordered a box of spices for a birthday and was super impressed that the store had it beautifully wrapped and ready for me... even though I had only casually mentioned via email that this box was a gift. The spices were beautifully labeled and presented and even came with a couple free extras. Thank you so much!! The personal attention was very much noticed and appreciated.
Response: Thaks, it was a pleasure

Clara Nchama: Spicy Yuli is one of those small secrets you can always find in Madrid. Located in Malasaña neighborhood, her owner, Yuli, is an expert in spices and teas. I'm not a tea person, but I've always loved a good, I mean good, cup of tea. At the shop the owner helps you to taste different kinds and specialties, and also gives you recipes to cook with any of the 85 variations of spices she sells.

Susana Manrique de Lara: Yuli and Angel are great! They know everything about teas and spices. They will give you tips and tricks on how to use them. The store is small but cozy 😊
Response: Thanks!

Gill Marry: This place is enchanted with beautiful atmosphere and lovely scents. I love this store, it’s magical!

miguell Castanier: Incredible smile for the most interesting herbs, spice, Chile and teas shop in Madrid
Response: Thanks!

Maxime Kennish: Amazingly wide variety of products, you are bound to find what you are looking for!

Leonardo Hansa: Best shop in Madrid

Andres Velasco Garcia: Very expert advice

Spice Bazar: what do users think?

John Bolorinos: Attendants sell you oversized items to charge you more, unpleasant experience getting cheated
Response: Hi Jhon Can you explain in a details please 🙏 where you write its a grossary shop... all spices or products have written price.. actually I have no idea what you talking about cheated... how it will be possible

Greyfort Gaurdian: The owners are wonderful people and it is always a pleasure to speak with them when we get to visit their shops and restaurant. Furthermore, this is the best spice shop in Madrid. They always have the things I need, and many time they are the only place that I can find certain spices. They have it all. I can find foods and spices of eastern and western cultures and of all the shops I've been in within the area (Lavapies), it is the most orderly and well laid out. So grateful for them and their wonderful business!
Response: Thank you so much brother for your lovely complements, it helps us a lot to organise more and give better service. Stay with us and keep in your prayers

Bautista Powerslam: All the ingredients you need to cook a curry are in this one place. Small groceries with a good variety of stock. Staff are helpful and the shop is generally clean and in good order.
Response: Thank you Bautista

suzanna kesek: An Ali Baba cave of oriental spices. Authentic
Response: Thank you Susan

Sowmya Poosapadi Subramania Raja: Costly compared to other stores in Lavepais. Poor costumer relationship. The rice stocks had insects in them.

Peter Karl Maurer: Their selection of Asian (also some African) spices, sauces and other ingredients is just INSANE. Everytime i buy sth new to try.
Response: Thank you

Qamar's Little World: For Desi people this is the right place to buy their groceries. Everything is available here
Response: Thank you Qamar

Nagraj Sugur: One stop shop for all the Indian food items. Staff is very helpful and friendly.
Response: Thank you Naraj

Naresh Trivedi: Good collection of Indian products, Nice shop to visit and shop. Recommended.

Sally Pepper: what do users think?

James: I love this place. Absolute must for all chilliheads!!
Response: Thank you very much James for your review. We hope to see you soon!

Adam Warner: Excellent selection of herbs, spices and sauces. If you love cooking a wide variety of dishes it’s a great place to get what you need. The staff are very friendly and attentive.
Response: Thanks for your rating Adam!

Jaime Gutierrez Santiago: The best place to buy what is not usually found in supermarkets and of excellent quality! A must have for anyone who loves cooking! In addition, the staff is always pleasant and predisposed to answer questions! Absolutely recommended!
Response: Thank you very much for your review Jaime! We hope to see you soon!

Leidse Morgueplein: Very good site for any purchase related to the spicy. Mario has treated me wonderfully and has made me some fantastic recommendations. They also have teas and plenty of spices. Highly recommended!!
Response: Thank you very much for your review Leidse. We hope to see you very soon and surprise you with new products.

Suartz o_0: The best specialty spice shop I know of. Great variety and quality far above any commercial brand. They have spices for all kinds of dishes, good selection of chilies and hot sauces, own mixes... The attention is very close and they always give good recommendations and advice.
Response: Thank you very much for your generous score. A greeting.

Ryan Turner: I have bought an essential spice for Ethiopian cuisine called Berbere. The sally pepper version has been the perfect complement to the Beg Wat (Braised Lamb) dish that I made. Apart from the good quality of its ingredients, the owner of the store gave me some cinnamon leaves that will come in handy to improvise with other dishes. Deal: 10/10 Price: 9/10 Quality: 11/10 Customer experience: 10/10! It also has a very wide variety of hot sauces for the most adventurous palates! Attached a photo of the final result with the spices!
Response: Thank you very much Ryan for your review and for the photography. By the way, that lamb stew looks spectacular.

Pepe Anguita: Excellent experience, I would blindly recommend it just for the aromas of the kitchen and the wines. The attention was 10/10. braviiissimoo
Response: Thank you very much for your review.

Chen Cho: Very specialized store with exquisite attention. They are specialists in hot peppers... but what I like the most is that they have mixtures of spices prepared to make most of the dishes that they publish on their blog (highly recommended). You can see the difference with supermarket spices even in a simple pepper. .. LOTS OF FLAVOR. I put a photo of a paella that I made with a saffron preparation that they have special for paellas.
Response: Thank you very much for your review Mr. Chen Cho. We hope to open very soon and enjoy your company.

Gloria gmales74: Any species or aromatic herb that I am looking for is there, and usually in several varieties. Fantastic quality of products and service.
Response: Thank you very much Gloria.

Cristina Soto: Excellent! The unbeatable attention, the person who attended us knows a lot about hot sauces and explains everything in addition to guiding you, I felt as if they gave me a quick master class on hot sauces 🌶 🌶 We loved the personalized basket! Thank you so much for everything!!!!
Response: Thank you very much for the review Cristina. And we hope to see you very soon with new delicacies.

CANNELLE: what do users think?

Ellis Bareuther: Amazing selection of tea and spices. The only place in Madrid where I’ve bought red pepper flakes/peperoncino!

Emilio Caprile Trucchi: Entering from Vallehermoso street to the Market and going up the stairs just to the left is this stall specialized in species and many of its derivatives. With very personal treatment, its owner attends and advises as was done before. He makes his own mixes and has practically everything. It is also a pleasure to try their artisan candies. A good reference in this market.

Pilar Pinto Pastor: A must for buying spices! Great variety and quality! The best: they always give suggestions on how to use them and recipes!
Response: Thank you very much for trusting CANNELLE

Alejandra Redondo: The owner is charming, she explains everything perfectly to you without any rush. He always gives you a small sample of tea to try a new one with your purchase and thanks to his recommendations I have started to like teas. It is a must see because it has a lot of spices, a thousand types of chilies, as well as sauces and other products. I recommend it 100%.
Response: I have been very excited to hear from you. Thank you

Javier Barquilla: It would be nice if you updated the timetable on google when you go on vacation. I have come here for nothing.
Response: I beg your pardon; I didn't realize I changed the schedule. I'm really sorry

julia diaz calvo: A lovely establishment. Wide variety of teas and infusions. Spices, dressings. A marvel. The owner, María Jesús, charming and very didactic. Without a doubt a benchmark in Madrid.

Hugo Alonso: Highly recommended for finding unique teas, spices and delicacies. They also have gifts to make (the teapots are beautiful!) and the owner María José is charming! A 10!!

Bartbender: The quality of the product and the attention is unbeatable, you will not find a better vanilla. The fantastic teas, the only place where I find my favourites, black tea with mango and the "smurf" is a real discovery. The curries, chiles, and to make an original gift they prepare some very well finished baskets. Totally recommended.

Carmen BF: This store is the spice stall of the Vallehermoso Market. I've bought everything from Mexican chilies to garam masala to Thai red curry paste. The owner of the stall knows a lot and advises you very well.
Response: Thanks a lot. glad to be able to help

Carlos Ignacio Lozano Luciañez: A great site, it has some beautiful gift baskets for Christmas!
Response: Many thanks.

Lost Dreamer: The number of grains and spices that they offer is more than satisfactory, mostly dicen the size of the shop. It's a great place to explore, and the quality of the products is really nice. There are enough varieties of the products for many of them not to be very pricy and, still, pretty good.

Dr. Ina Melny: Amazing zero waste store
Response: Thank you! 🤗

Bryan Miguel Silva: Great place for organic food. All kinds of cereal, spices, nuts, ans seeds. The prices are competitive as well. A lot of local sourcing. The place is really cool. Staff could be a little more positive.

Deirdre Miller: Looks like a nice place. Too bad when we tried to use the bags and scoops that are right next to all the products we were rudely yelled at by the one person working in the store not to do it our ourselves. Maybe some signs would be helpful. Also, maybe not putting the bags out,so it's so easy to serve oneself could help. After yelling at us, he pointedly apologized to the woman he was helping for having to stop what he was doing to deal with us. We tried to be nice and apologized for self scooping, but he just gave us an dirty look and said nothing. Since there are other places in Madrid to buy bulk organic grains where the people working there aren't so disdainful, I think I won't be giving this place another try.
Response: Good morning Deirdre. I am very sorry that your experience was that today. First thing in the morning, only one colleague is there until 12:00 and when people accumulate with only one person, it is sometimes a stressful situation. I am sure that my partner did not mean to scold you or make you feel uncomfortable, but I do not doubt that you felt that way and we apologize for that. Sometimes in stressful situations it may sound the wrong way. Tell you that we have a sign that explains that we serve the store employees, but that is the least of it. Finally, we are people and we have bad days but I think that the people who come to the store know that it is not our behavior and that even if we are at the top, we always try to serve with a smile. Greetings and I apologize again.

Dan Tapoca: One of my fav stores in Madrid. You can easily find everything you want there, and nice staff.

A Cascallana: It is a vegan species shop, a bit short of varieties, but the size of the shop is what it is. Not so expensive

Antonio Alhama Riego: Great variety of natural and organic products, great customer service. Would recommend!!

Andrea Zaragoza Ballesteros: Bulk shopping in the heart of La Latina. A great variety of products and a good percentage of them with organic certification.

Dean Greasley: Absolute best place to go if you need whole foods, there are plenty of products to choose here from flours, seed, spices and legumes.

Dobra Bielinski: Every kind of bean you ever imagined they have along with different flowers and Grains. The owner is very helpful

Grace Wong: I love the shop !!! If you are looking for sorts of #spices (asian one's) ...this is a good place to stop plus a friendly owner who assist you with your needs

Mohamed Rafeek: El dueño tiene que mirar 🤔, Trata differente, it's not seems to a asiático shop. They treat different. The cashier unfriendly. They are treating different. One lady order 20kg rice they agreed to deliver in their house. But I order 20 kg but they told i have to buy min 40kg. But the other lady ordered less than my price and longer than my address. So what is that? Racist?. The owner should concentrate about this. The cashier are Philippinos they support only Philippinos. So if I not philiphino there no respect. Even in cash counter there is no hello to customer, they just talk with their countryfwllows in their language. What's this?. Disgusting 🤢

Juli gimenez: One of my favorites, they have everything for international cooking and at good prices!

Roshni Sharma: Nice shop with varieties of Indian products and specially spices with reasonable price.

Roy Ulvestad: Always nice going there, i'm not much familiar making asian cuisine but with such a welcoming crew working there i never get tired of visiting this store when i visit Spain and Madrid😊

Agustin AM: Large choice of Asian groceries and also some South American ones. The staff is friendly but some of the prices are much to high. Near by the tube (Tetuan Metro station).

Godwin Thaya: No good

saptarshi chakraborty: This is extremely helpful if you are looking for your Indian spices and stuffs. You mostly get everything you need here.

Kishore reddy yerasi: Good places for Indian spices and Asian groceries. Friendly English speaking staff

Rene Luis Godinez: Good quality olive oils are available in this store!

Reinaldo De Oliveira: get the truffle oil...is better than any I brought from Italy

yazmith reyes: I value customer service not the product. The attention of the clerk was very rude. An unfriendly attitude.

Bea Nieto Coronas: The girl who attended us very attentively and guided us perfectly, since we went for a gift and we were not very sure what to take. We were surprised by the prices as they are "normal". The products are a luxury to have, especially spiced oils and soaps.

paqui ruiz: I went to the store with the intention of buying a product, in their information on the published page they said that they were open and they were really closed, it was a great disturbance.

Ana Villena: The super nice saleswoman advised us to have a detail with some friends for my wedding. He helped us make a little bag with things that look super delicious and everything turned out very cute. I will definitely return for future gifts because everything looks very good and the attention was excellent

LAURA GARCIA RIVAS: The products are very very good both cosmetically and at the food level. The care received is also good.
Response: Thank you very much, glad to serve you.

Lee루피: The staff are friendly. You didn't recommend it, but if you ask me, I'll answer you kindly. hehe

Nubia Felicio: I love oils, my favorites are black truffles, basil and garlic. The hand cream a show.

Nat VDiaz: It's perfect for gifts! I always find some ideal and flirtatious detail. On the other hand, cosmetics is luxury! I recommend the body and facial moisturizers. Very good attention. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Bethany Nauert Mendez: Perfect little shop of nice home wares, textiles and gifts. I loved visiting the store and thought it was so cute.
Response: Thank you for your beautiful words, Bethany

Dr. Eman: Visual joy, and attractive display. Cozy place, warm with authentic items from all over Spain. Even without buying any thing, you will leave the shop carrying a smile and invisible gain in your pockets. Mixed feeling of nostalgia and happiness that can’t be explained. Just few steps away from Lope de Vega house museum. Hang around while waiting your entry.
Response: Thank you Eman!

Ukrainian shop Extra - Productos del Este: what do users think?

Ivan Petrovic: A lot of different beers from Poland, Lithuania, Russia, Ukraine.

Edyta Pukocz: Great variety of products. Slightly expensive but I always find there what I need.

Markus Meyer: Russian, Ukrainian and Polish groceries.

Ника Соценко: Not a bad store with goods from different countries of Ukraine, Poland, Russia and others. "+" A large assortment of goods, you can buy cottage cheese and buckwheat, which is not really found in Spain, confectionery, alcohol, pickles and delicious bread. "+" Goods fresh "+" Prices are average, but some items are overpriced. "-" The sellers are girls, they speak Ukrainian, Russian, Spanish and not a lot of English. "+" But unfortunately, they do not talk about product advice, though, the service wants to be better "-". Not exactly a pleasant feeling. But thank you for the products that resemble home.

Maria Patsula: We bought sausages yesterday (04/02/2022), before they were bought everything was fine. Now they are sticky, the expiration date is coming to an end (04/05/2022) Very disappointed. We bought one normal buckwheat, thanks for that.

Michel Argenson: Choice price welcome everything is good

Pau GzMz: Those who run it are very nice. It's always nice to deal with them. And the prices are also very good.

Nati Ra: Friends, I love your store very much. But yesterday's trip was disappointing. Sausages are sticky, they are not fresh, the expiration date is running out.

Edu Ghazaryan: I really liked the store, a huge assortment, nice girls - sellers I recommend!

paloma fernandez rico: I always buy caviar and vodka there. very friendly Lots of assortment overall.
