Vitalii Dvoretskyi: Great staff, very friendly service. No upcharges, no annoying upsales. Pickup and dropoff only took a few minutes and there weren't any queues during our pickup time. The only drawback is that their garage is really tight (which is pretty normal in European cities) so you need to be very good with your car dimensions, but the garage staff are helping to park if it's too hard. By renting the cheapest automatic car on the website, I got a very new C4 with adaptive cruise, climate, carplay and a very pleasant mpg! Great branch, would 100% rent again!

Alex Bell: Very far from train station (despite being advertised as at the train station). That was a real bummer to find out on a rainy day with rolling luggage. Limited stock. The employee was very nice but ended up giving me a car we didn't fit in without a back up camera, which also wasn't ideal. If you're coming into the train station, take care to book with a company that's actually located on premises. If that's not available, I'd say take a cab to somewhere a bit farther out that's at least cheaper.

kirill k: - Had to wait for 30 minutes to get the car we booked. There were 3 desks at the office, but only one was occupied by a clerk. The office is tiny with no place to sit, so we had to wait in the street, standing. - There was no manual with the car and no one available to show how to use basic functions. Had to find YouTube videos on how to put it in reverse, for example. - The multimedia system is in Spanish only, couldn't find a way to switch it to English. - The car was parked in an underground garage with no access to the Internet, so getting the required info was hard. Also, the lighting was insufficient for a thorough videoing of the surfaces of the car. - The car was a bit worse than what I booked. While they did not promise to get me that particular car, I was disappointed. The car did turn out to work great, though, and it was brand-new.

Phil Lawson: Sixt "Madrid Atocha Estación" is actually NOT at the train station. The email confirmation is very misleading. We wasted 45 minutes to a) find the "rental car" area at the train station (there are very few signs and no info/help desk that we could find), b) learn that Sixt is not there and then c) find Sixt (maybe 10 minute walk from the train station). When we returned the car, the instructions for what to do with the keys and the parking ticket were not at all clear. The car was nice and the Sixt people (once we got to them) were helpful but overall, the experience was pretty terrible. Perhaps a Spanish speaker would figure all of this out more efficiently and have a better experience.

David Murphy: Dishonest practices!! Three days after returning car they sent a bill for over 500 euros for damage I did not do! I will never trust sixt again. I recommend avoiding as there are scams going on here.

Ramy Eid: Absolute worse customer experience ever. From pick up, misleading.. to mid journey charges.. to insane fine "handling" fees.. and the cherry on top is their "above-God-like" attitude, when you reach out and try and reason. Closing accounts.

Antonio Luis Vazquez Solisee: Good deal. Car in conditions. The deposit of €500 seems exaggerated to me, but I did not like the seller's demand that I leave the deposit full. I did 12 Km, and I filled the €10 deposit. It cost me before my claim, they behaved well, but since I had paid the day before with a card, they could not return the corresponding amount. If you have the power to collect in advance you have to have the same resources to return them.

Cryptoviruskan: I made the reservation online to avoid queues and in the end I sucked a long queue. It is exaggerated to put a franchise of 900 euros for a van. The impeccable vehicle and the attention of the staff, great.

Gloria Carrasco: Excellent treatment, vehicles in good condition. We went to ask, they made the reservation for us and the moment we arrived for the van they gave it to us. The boy who served us a 10! He explained all the conditions and everything that the contract entailed. I recommend it, and we will rent here again.

There are no hidden charges and I find the cost of full insurance coverage fare and competitive. I will be back again.

Ernesto Arregui: I made a last minute booking of a van which was new and in at perfect shape. The value for money was excellent. I drove through narrow streets and finally I scratched and hit the back side of the van. I told them when I gave the van back. They sent me a repair budget, once again, at a very competitive price. Sixt did not charge any cost to my credit card, I payed them after having review the budget. Thanks so much for such a good service.

Pia Shields: We made really bad experiences with them. We rented a few times there and we always had to spend at least half an hour to inspect the car for scratches which weren’t in the system. Then they wanted to charge us the gasoline fee even we brought the car back with a full tank and then they gave us an almost new car and there they charged us for a scratch and it wasn’t our hire period. We will never rent again at sixt. Luckily they have a lot of competitors on the market.

Kelley Pigott: 0 stars. Terrible company. I highly recommend not using this company. It's a long story, but basically I was sold the "comprehensive insurance," which supposedly completely covered the van I rented. However, the sales people failed to inform me upon buying this insurance package that it wasn't "comprehensive" insurance; the roof of the van wasn't included. Nothing was mentioned and nothing was presented to me about this on the day I purchased the insurance. Instead, it was in the fine print when I signed the receipt. (When you buy a company's best insurance, I think it goes without saying that it's assumed you're covered against any accident.) In the end there was an accident and months later the company came after demanding payment, despite the fact that I bought the insurance. I later appealed, but to no avail; I was railroaded and forced to pay for the damages. Don't do business with this corporate entity.

Russell Sain: I reserved a specific car that was available on the website over a week before my Trip to Spain. I got an email shortly thereafter that said I would get a confirmation email within 48 hours. The email never arrived. After several attempts I called and spoke to a representative of this company. They assured me that if I did not have that car I would be supplied a comparable car. When we got to Madrid I was informed that I would have to pay the walk up rate since they did not have my specific car so my charge for rental car went from $200 for the period to $800 for the rental period . I was also informed that my supplemental insurance that are purchased would not be valid and they would not honer that supplemental insurance. This was my 1st Time to use this company and definitely will be my last

Oscar Gomez: No waiting time as compared to the airport. I flew to Madrid airport, but instead of taking the car there, I decided to try this time in the city, so I could combine it with a visit/lunch. At the office I was lucky, as the car that I booked was not yet ready (I arrived a bit earlier than planned), and I was offered an upgrade to a car that we really enjoyed driving. No additional fees for driving to Portugal (which we didn't do in the end). I took their CDW. Easy to arrive, get the car in a parking next to the office and returnign it to the same place. No problems during the rental (8 days).

Lev Rejanovinsky: car broke down in the highway with a drive train light and car would not drive past 50 km per hour.took 4 hours for roadside assistance to get to us. i paid 200 euros for roadside assistance insurance which i believe to be abusive since renting good cars is their job i should not have to pay to ensure the car runs! i did get a free upgrade on the replacement car and the insurance did pay for the taxis to get to the barcenola ariport the following day which would have been 200 euros from the break down location. replacing the car was hassle free as well. this is why i am giving them 3 stars versus 1.

Please be aware that the roadside protection protects you against high service and repair costs for the following incidents caused by you: key locked in vehicle, breaking caused by lack of fuel, assistance with starting necessitated by flat battery and loss of key and vehicle stuck. r: The car rental process was frustrating for us. In the first place, the seller told us that the insurance we had did not cover absolutely anything, something that turned out to be untrue according to the company through which we had rented the car, the seller's performance together with the girl and another man who he was there, he was frankly making fun of us ;we were in a place that we didn't know at all and he didn't even have the courtesy to even accompany us to the car We didn't know where we were or where the car was parked something that was complicated for us because it is a place very large (Madrid-Chamartin Train Station) the train station in Madrid all this aggravated by a tremendous downpour that was falling and that we are elderly, this ended up costing us twice what we had paid for the rental of the vehicle in In the first place, I think that the fairest thing would be for the extra money we paid to be returned to us or for people to know about the irregular practices that your company uses to extract money from advanced aged people. Copy of the receipts, was sent to the original company where the car was rented. We really look forward to your response before making this situation public.

I was helped by Mr. O Chung who helped me change my reservation and made the process easy to understand. Tip: It’s close to the airport and not as packed as the airport location so I would even recommend people to go directly to Chamartin to get their rental (you can return the car in a different location). Overall good experience, good cars and even better staff!

kirik shkurapet: !!! ATTENTION !!!! Thieves and scammers !!!. I rented a WV Polo 1001KYB car on 06/28/2009 at this Sixt company at the Chamortin Madrid train station. The car is a new run of 3000 km, if not one BUT. After returning the car and checking it, 40 days have passed, but I still have not received my money for the deposit. NOTHING!!! Think before you order from them.

Jani Heikkinen: Horrible experience, never again Sixt despite of my Gold status! We had a reservation "lucky dip car". We arrived around 4:45pm and our reservation was about to start 5pm. First the guy tries to sell us upgrade by claiming he has only small Peugeot (which was a lie as parking slot was full of Sixt cars), which would not be good for highway trip for three persons. As it was Sixt, they would charge extra for upgrade even for their loyal customers, and we would have needed to wait at least 30min. It took awfully long time to get this solved and convince him we do not want to have upgrade and spent so much time of waiting. Second issue was even worse. After spending so much time already, he finally gave us contract for small Peugeot but tried to cheat us and charge extra day. Fortunately I compared the price against the reservation and was able to make a complain about it! And more problems appeared! He claimed extra charge was because we arrived before 5pm but all hassling and his sales activities anyway took so long time that it was already 5:15pm. What was worse, he claimed he cannot print out new contract with correct price. That was freaking suspicious and he had very hard time in believing him. Unfortunately we had to go and try to stay calm during whole trip and hope that we would not be overcharged. And the problems were not over - the car had many scratches, also non-documented, and again we had to spend extra time by fighting with Sixt awful customer service and this guy. Fortunately photos were very clear and finally we were able to leave. We returned the car to Barajas airport and tried to get receipt from the staff, which would show also the right charge. They claimed they cannot print out a receipt! What on the earth is that? I believe that already regulations are allowing me to get a printed receipt by request when the service/purchase/transaction is done! Also the service level was really low, once again. At the airpot we called to sixt customer service, and finally there was at least one, who had a little bit better attitude towards customers, and was able to send us corrected contract with right price, and later on the final invoice. She also said that the office should have given us a receipt. This was third reservation in short time i had several problems with Sixt in two countries (Spain and Finland) causing me extra stress, loose of time, being late from customer meeting, etc. Thus, never again as there are better car rental companies existing. One of them, "H", for example, has given me really great complementary upgrades for free, and i can get a receipt printed when i return the car. At Sixt, i just need to bear endless sales efforts, lies and bad service.

Giacomo Cattoni: Bad Service from the staff (no information and no problem solution), High possibility to be charge of unclear extra (if you arrive 30min late) and not good condition at the reception of the vehicle (all console was in russian language). You always have the feeling that they are going to charge you with extra money for any minimal thing. The lower price is not worth it

But they were answered immediately via Whatsapp. Also the drop-off went smoothly and quickly, although it was in the city and also at a different place than the pickup location. Oh mar: average staff and support. Just want your money our van was driving perfect (carado 348) but inside parts of its broke a minute after we left the rental place. Fridge promised but never worked- to much food in it and it won't cool.
Response: We are very sorry that this is your perception of the service. First of all, you rented the vehicle to go to a music festival in Portugal and returned it so dirty that our staff had to make an effort never seen before to get it ready before handing it over to the next customers. That fact alone would have been reason enough to lose the deposit since, as specified in the contract, the motorhome must be returned clean and in the same conditions as it was delivered. But it is that, in addition, you have delivered it with two blows that have broken the rear column and the side bumper, with the consequent cost of repair. As for the refrigerator, it's a trivalent fridge that work differently from those at home, since they are more affected by the heat, if the direct sun shines on the side where it is installed, or even if they are filled too much with hot food, as we already explained. You have recognized that it did not mark any errors, so its poor performance was due to an inappropiate use. All the best.

Tarek Parvez: We hired a campervan for 10 days and it was delivered to us in Murcia. Communication by email, whatsapp and phone was excellent from beginning to end. All the staff were very helpful and polite. The vehicle itself was quite new and in immaculate condition. It was promptly delivered at the desired location and time. That was really appreciated. Steve Packham: Rented for a week in July. Met at airport, 20 min drive to rental location Nice greeting, motorhome was fairly new with just 8000 k on the clock. Paperwork done and a very thorough walk through of the vehicle. Had a lovely week touring Spain Returned the vehicle and was taken back to the airport. Security deposit was refunded very promptly. All round a very good experience and I would certainly use autocaravan express again Note: when booking flights be aware that you cannot return the motor home before 10am...

Simon Hu: I hope my photo of your tiny sign will help your customers find your office instead of leaving a negative review after struggling to find you. In return, I hope if we did accidentally drive into a restricted zone, you would waive the €25 charge by paying our fine for us. After reading other people's review I am concerned why you also didn't inform us the areas to avoid getting a fine. But I do have to say thank you. We arrived before your office opened and you served us before you had to. You were polite, friendly and patient when my credit card did not work. Thank you for the upgrade to a Mercedes Benz!!!

Jenna Ramunno: They won my loyalty as my local rental office a year ago now, and I’ve been going back ever since. It’s the service that separates them. Always going above and beyond. Here is just one example - I left my wallet in the car, full of cash. They emailed me letting me know (because truthfully I didn’t notice, as most of my credit cards are on the back of my cell phone). When I came to get it, all the cash was there. They have also given me prepaid parking to leave the car there overnight when I needed it a couple days in a row. The employees are so friendly and helpful - particularly Fernando, who is the reason I continue to return to this location time again.

Celso Castro: I booked a reservation in May for October, I arrived a day early and waited until the next day to get my car. 2 hours before my scheduled pick up time I received an email from them claiming I canceled my reservation, ABSOLUTELY NOT TRUE! I still went to the terminal to see if it was a mistake, turns out that they had no vehicles. The young man that attended me said that this had happened before to other customers and there was nothing he could do, he just sat there with a dumb look on his face. Luckily Europcar was nearby and gladly accommodated me at a higher price for a similar size vehicle. Doing some research and in the web proved that Enterprise in fact has done this before. I will absolutely file a complaint and will even consider legal action if possible. I have never had this problem before and I think that if Enterprise Rent-A-Car can't provide the service they are purporting they should pack up and leave the european market. I have never been so upset as to leave a 1 star review, too bad a no star review is available. LOOK AT OTHER COMPANIES AND STAY AWAY FROM THIS ONE !!!!!

Raúl Manresa: We had a great experience with Enterprise Plaza de España. Staff was amazingly kind and attentive, kudos for Almudena and her coworker (which name we didn’t get but she was amazing as well!). We booked a car type that was not available at the moment so we got an upgrade for a reduced fee. Everything was very fast and easy both picking up and dropping off the car. The car was sparkling clean and new! We drove a significant amount of kilometers and it was all good with the car at all times for over two weeks! We totally recommend it!

Nawid Javid: I had ordered a Hyrbid car but upon arrival I received a non-hybrid car, however they compensated for the difference and made sure I was happy with everything by going above and beyond with my satisfaction. The staff is very helpful and understanding. The location is difficult to find otherwise nothing else to complain.

Kyle Wright: If I could give negative stars I would. After searching for this place for over an hour we finally found it in an underground garage. Upon meeting the rental agent we were unapologetically told that they didn’t have a car for us and could in essence care less. We asked if other enterprises could help us she rudely told us that they didn’t have any cars either. Horrible experience and I’m shocked that there are positive reviews on here. DO NOT RENT FROM THESE PEOPLE!!

Salina Ho: I personally had a good experience. The woman helping was efficient and gave us an automatic car that was new with installed GPS (that had English). Automatic selection was limited but the car turned out to be great! My experience may be draw of luck but after a few car rental experiences in Europe, there are some learnings I’ve gained to hopefully minimize any unwanted circumstances: - book online ahead of time which to avoid any additional fees that you may occur if you don’t have their confirmed quote. The rental price was beyond reasonable because we had this at hand. We also were able to not occur the drop off fee you get when it’s a different location but only because we showed the quoted price - book and pay using the driver’s information to be safe. I’ve never had an issue but, I have overheard this being an issue where the person booking and the credit card on the reservation needs to be present and/or is the driver. If not, or the rental company does not honor the reservation - bring your passport. I didn’t know this the first time I rented a car in Europe but a foreign license is not enough

Susan Lefler: I paid the insurance on the car, took very good care of the car, returned the car and they told me the car was fine. A month later they charged me for two tires that were not covered by the insurance. The tires were fine when I returned the car. Enterprise and Almudena said the car was fine when I returned it. The car did have more than 50,000 kilometers on it so it was probably time for them to change the tires so they made me pay for it. I returned from my trip the day before turning in my car. The car was parked outside my house over night. The tires were fine the next morning and Enterprise is not far from my house . I should not have been charged for something I did not damage. I Will Never Go Back To This Business Again. Interesting that they charged me for something insurance did not cover. A terrible way to do business by taking advantage of their customers.

Ralph B.: Staff were nice and friendly, however, they are overworked and never answer the phone. The van I rented was not in any condition for someone to drive it. The glass was broken, bangs and scratches everywhere. There were things falling apart, sounds in the engine, temperature gauges going up. It's a shame that the people renting these vans treat them badly and don't take care of them, but what's worse is that Telefurgo allows the vans to be rented again eve though they are dangerous and should be fixed before they are put again on the road. However, u fortunately, they don't want to fix the vans so they don't lose any money but what about peoples' safety?

JULIA: A terrifying experience. We rented a large van for moving and they gave us a real scrap metal. We believed that the damage was only cosmetic, we did not imagine that such a vehicle could be active. I RECOMMEND EXHAUSTIVELY INSPECT THE VEHICLE BEFORE YOU LEAVE. We trust the rental company big mistake..... Do not forget to see the photos are not very good but you can see the openings of the side gate in which you could put your hand and the tailgate only closed one of the doors.

Tomas Turbado: Unfortunate service. After waiting in a queue for half an hour, they give me a van with 275,000 km in a pitiful state. I call the police and when I arrive they tell me that I can drive under my own responsibility, the televan boy says that he does not have another van that he returns to me the money and that's it, but it was impossible for me to leave what I had to do for another day. So I plucked up my courage and started my adventure that lasted 500 meters because the van ran out of clutch....but surprise now there is another van available it also has 180000km it's all bumps and noises but at least it works. Moral: Cheap is expensive, if you do not want a vehicle to make your day bitter or even suffer the risk of driving with those irons to be left lying or even suffer an accident, it is better to rent elsewhere.

Sandra P: The worst rental vans in Madrid. The van was in terrible condition, the rear door did not even open. We asked to see others and they showed us with an attitude of doing us a favor. In the end, we got the least bad, very unprofessional treatment and not friendly at all. After charging it, we discovered that the door does not close properly, so the central locking does not work. And we needed to leave the van charged overnight, which was a problem, because it wouldn't lock. When we return it, they show us how to slam the door shut, because it's dented. In other words, our fault for not having given him enough blows. Very sorry to have rented with them, I do not recommend it at all.

Regarding the very honest service, when I refueled before returning it, by mistake I put more diesel than I had at the time of receiving it, and when they returned the deposit they also returned the proportional part of the fuel that I had overreported... Angggelmon: horrible service! I took a van with them for a move and they have kept €150 for having hair from my dog, when the dog traveled correctly in its carrier and they allude that a comprehensive cleaning has to be done without being able to justify that expense. They gave me the broken van with a pilot that sounded every 10 seconds that the door was open and dirty inside full of dust and remains of work. Inhumane treatment and without facility for the client to be able to remedy the situation, since this was not notified. Not recommended

RICARDO OTERO ESCUDER: Magnificent prices for individuals who need punctual transfers. Highly recommended. Great difference with the competition, in addition to having a large fleet and cheap prices, being able to rent on weekends up to noon is a highly valued facility. You can also return the keys in the mailbox if you finish using the vehicle when the office is closed on those weekend afternoons. I returned it this way, leaving it parked at the door and putting the keys in the mailbox. The next day they check the state of the van so that there is nothing different from when they delivered it to you and they return the deposit through the card that they charged you. All without the need to be present. An extra comfort that means that you can do your service on the same day and not have to wait the next day for the office to be open. My experience is very good. Everything was perfect.

Diego Diquattro: Process takes too long for the poor employees trying to do their best. Even if you have checked in online you need to wait for hours. Savings in price are not worth the wait. I will avoid next time. This is a clear example of a bad operational process that goes against the employees and clients. Clearly management have never experienced the customer journey. To add to the chaos every time there is an issue is all hands on deck every resource goes to the help. So instead of three positions with three customers is one customer three employees. I want to repeat that this is not the local branch employees fault.

Thomas J: Dismal service, the confirmation said I required a piece of ID and a credit card, however upon arrival I needed a second piece of ID, they wouldn't accept an image (scan) of a passport and so had to pay for a return taxi to and from my hotel. Showed the agent my confirmation which she frankly wasn't fussed about.

Laurie Smith: Europcar great at both pick up and drop off. The car had some minor scratches at pick up which were clearly marked on the contract and presented no problems on return. Return signage at Madrid airport is the worst I've experienced anywhere in the world and urgently needs updating. You basically had to guess where to go.

B. B.: Be careful with this office. It is often closed (despite what Google Maps says) and you're asked to return the car to the main office in Atocha station. Then they charge you without warning because you dropped the car at a different location!

Michael Finot: Very happy with the car. There was a little bit of a mistake and misunderstanding over the new contract that was made when I decided to upgrade. I noticed it only at the end of the rental, and the employee did not seem to have the power to revert what her colleague had done, but everything was smoothly and quickly sorted out by Europcar's customer service once I was back home. I'll keep on renting with that company. The opening times displayed here and on Europcar's website differed from those I received in the email reminder the day before the end of the rental. It seems to be closed for a couple of hours in the afternoon.

Rachel: Stay AWAY from this company! The staff was fine. But the real surprise came when they sent an invoice with bogus charges. The fake charges include an extra day of rental, a charge for filling up the gas tank (almost 8 gallons). Which is strange, because it was completely full when I left it. But the joke is on them because I took pictures of the full gas tank. I also took pictures of the ticket I left with the date and time stamp. As soon as it posts with my credit card company, I will be disputing these charges. They messed with the wrong gringa! I have photos of everything! This place is a scam.

omer liv: We ordered a car 2 weeks in advance, we were supposed to pick up the car at 10am, when we arrived they said the car isn't there yet so they offered us to upgrade to a better car at a higher rate. After we agreed they told us that the other car isn't there yet as well and it will take 10-15 minutes. After another half hour we asked the 2 ladys at the desk where is the car and all they could say was "it's on its way". For a long time we tried to understand what's going on and they where unpleasant and made us feel guilty just for wanting to know what's happening. After another 30 minutes the car arrived finally. We were very disappointed about the way they handled this situation, their unwillingness to help us understand what's going on and their disrespectful behaviour.

N Kim: Worst customer service here too. Just put the car in the street and seemed reluctant to explain about the car (never driven this car before) and its functions. She seemed to be annoyed in general. Had to pay 75 euros (three days) additionally to get the navigation jfyi.
