Our teacher was almost always Alex, although on occasion Miriam -from bouquets- and Fran -from Ikebana- were there. All the teachers are very generous and attentive, there is a very good vibe. The training is very, very complete: you do everything from bridal bouquets to huge installations. Although the style of the school is quite contemporary, the classes focus on learning a series of techniques that each student can then take to their own field, in their own style. Apart from design, you also learn practical things about how to make a budget or information about different suppliers. leticia villarreal: Hello everyone who is looking for references of this school, I tell you my experience: In November 2018 I decided to start studying floral design, so I began to investigate schools in different places (London, New York, Texas, Mexico) and ended up enrolling in the race in Savia Bruta. I, who am from Panama, I ventured to travel to Madrid for a month and the truth is that I would do it again. The classes at Savia Bruta were from Monday to Friday from 10am to 6pm with one hour of rest at lunch time, the cost of the race included the food that was delicious, from a restaurant that is on the corner called La Tradición. From the first day we worked with flowers, the first hours of class of the first week were theoretical part that was very good. Every week we received the flowers, which we cleaned and put on the scene in a group manner. The syllabus of the course is fulfilled to totality, Alex who is the main teacher has the ability to teach, has patience and is very good vibes. At the end of each day we had the opportunity to take pictures on stage to the floral works of the day which left me with a good amount of beautiful photos of the works that I am currently using as a reference to my clients, also fill my airbnb room of flowers because every day came with a different arrangement! Apart from Alex, Lindsay gave us a couple of classes and equally has ability to transmit knowledge, gave us good recommendations when designing, has patience, also very good vibes and speaks English. Class time flies by, when you least expect it you are halfway through the race and not to mention the last week that you almost do not realize. I, who attended the race from January to February, can say that the place was a little cold (more for me than I am used to the tropical climate), there is a small stove to heat up in the workshop. The place is small but very cozy, I think it has the right size, plus they care a lot to keep everything in place and clean. As for the cost of the race I would say that it is worth every penny, the transmitted knowledge, the treatment, the quality of the flowers and of all the materials. Beyond being a school, Savia Bruta treated me like friends are treated, and after a month of seeing each other every day I can say that I have three great friends in Madrid, Alex, Lindsay and Fran, and also that they are designers Floral as I am now! ... barbara vigneron: Beautiful flower shop however the service is not great. I was looking for X flower that they didn’t have so I moved on to request a bunch of fresh flowers. I have very little knowledge in arrangement and I would imagine the staff there they know what they doing. The person that served me was very impatient and rude, she was not interested in helping me, I have to go around and picked flower by myself ‘cuz she has not interest. After paying a fair amount I came home and one of the root of the flowers was cut very short, looks ridiculous in the vase, i would expect to have everything in good condition as I paid the price, disappointing really! Buy under your own risk and you better know what you want, basically be an expert in the subject of flowers and arrangements because you won’t have any help apart of pointing out prices.

Navinya Lee: Way over priced! I asked for some flowers, not knowing much about which ones or the arrangement, however, the owner was very impatient and rude and wasn’t very helpful. Oh, actually he was very good at adding all of these extra flowers that were expensive! I should have know when he started tapping on the till to sum everything up and wrapped the flowers very quickly BEFORE telling me the price, almost playing on the fact that I wouldn’t ask him to take any out, not after he wrapped them as I would feel embarrassed! . When he said 68,60€ I had to ask again, thinking that I made a mistake (spanish is my second language after all)! Advice... give a price to him first.... if he is rude and dismissive just don’t bother as he needs to learn what customer service is!
