Response: This review is reported on Google. She is a guest from India who stayed with her large family. We did not return the deposit, due to the conditions in which our apartment was left. We had to call the police because the situation was very violent. They have put a review of 1 score on booking because that was the portal through which they stayed. The wifi did not work in the rooms, only in the common area, hot water is limited, so a flat with 4 rooms and 7 people is not enough for the amount of hot water. It was an attic and there were remodeling without warning so they woke us all up with the tun tun tun on the ceiling. What bothers the most is that the price paid for the amenities offered is not worth it. We lost money on this accommodation because we were not going to end our vacation badly and we went to a hotel in the ultra much more comfortable, breakfast included and less money. a 0 for this.

Koala King: I stayed a whole week and this flat was such a value for money: perfect location with many sights within walking distance, bars, clubs and shops including a market with a supermarket and good food options around the corner. Flat is very clean and well equipped with appliances and basic stuff such as coffee and cooking supplies. I found this place to be safe, secure and very private. Highly recommend Trinity tavern right across the road where you can have lazy beers or cocktails and a conversation with local residents after a long walk. In few words; location (!!!), clean, well equipped, safe, comfortable. Communication with staff is prompt and efficient too.

It has television, and the beds are comfortable, heating and fan. Croqueta Cojonera: Great Villa in which to spend a few days of disconnection and relaxation in the mountains of Madrid. In the first place, you have to start by saying things as they are, You booked a small Studio of 30 m²; and Como Sabrá a ““Studio is the name given to a very small dwelling that consists of only one room with or without separation from some other auxiliary unit, such as the bathroom or the kitchen””. Our Studio is advertised on several web pages as what it is: "A Studio with a full bathroom and a basic kitchen." I mean, we only have basic kitchenware such as: Microwave, cups, glasses, plates, cutlery and some pans. We have a small fridge with a freezer, a washing machine and a 2 burner ceramic hob. That we believe that for the 2 days that he was staying is more than enough. It is also worth clarifying that the cleaning of the Studio is daily with the exception of the kitchen, which is only cleaned on the last day after the client leaves. That by the way you never fulfilled your part of the house rules and on the last day of your stay we took out some garbage bags that I accumulated (like Diogenes) in the study and left us very dirty the bedding and towels that we had to buy others. Rob D: Our room smelled like sewage the entire time we stayed there, and when we complained about it, they sent a guy over to give us a spray bottle of air freshener which did nothing… Also the bed sheets were stained with yellow patches. The only positive is the price.
Amber S.: Had a great stay. Only place I've encountered in Spain that has washcloths. Very clean, quiet, close to restaurants. They have a tiny little elevator, which was big enough to bring your bags up. They also have a seating area and kitchenette. We booked through Priceline. Since we got in very late we followed the keypad and lockbox instructions. Didn't have any issues checking in or during our stay.

Ohad Shisgal: Stay away from these guys, they are just dishonest and liers. we were promised a 50m squares apartment and got, 25m, a tiny Sardin box. they just didnt care and implied to us that its our problems that we booked with them. checkin was a mess and the apartment wasn't clean as expected
Andrew Kaye: While the apartment we stayed in, in Chueca/ Malasaña was superficially attractive, there were a number of fundamental problems both with how the apartment was advertised, what the quality of it was, and ultimately with our experience of The Charming Concept and their customer communication and customer service. First, we were told prior to booking the apartment that it came with a parking space, which was important to our decision to choose it above other choices. Very close to the date we moved in, we were then informed that in fact a parking space would not be available and no other workable alternatives were seriously presented as options. We were advertised an apartment with a sun terrace exposed to the sun (when of course the weather is sunny). It turned out the apartment we selected was not the one advertised, but two apartments away, further down the corridor and its terrace was obscured by industrial vents and air vents which meant the terrace got no sun, even on a very sunny day. We felt The Charming Concept deliberately advertised their best apartment to secure custom, only to then give us an inferior option. We asked whether we could be moved to the apartment that was advertised, but were informed this was not an option. We partly decided to select the apartment we chose because it had a bath, which can be rare for an apartment in Madrid. The bath was not useable, however. There was first of all no plug. Secondly, the hot water was not sufficient to have anything other than a tepid bath. We were informed by The Charming Concept that must be because we were using hot water/having hot showers just before the bath, but this was not the case. This was a problem even if no one had a shower all day. We asked for solutions but a man came around three weeks later and said this was not a job he could help with and plumbing must be the issue. We asked for some compensation for these minor, but important, details and did not receive a positive response. We found small items often broke such as towel rails and light bulbs would blow. The apartment is designed to be attractive but it does not feel other than the artworks and sofa and the cosmetic things, that it has seriously been invested in for the money we paid. We were then left waiting a month for our deposit to be returned, and while some of this was owing to our bank's processes, there could have been more proactivity by The Charming Concept to find quicker alternative solutions. When we criticised some of these details, we were accused of being unfair. The apartment overlooked a very busy street and while the location is central and convenient, there are parties/loud music 6pm to 11pm every single day just underneath the apartment because it's located above a market/store with food stalls. We found 'The Charming Concept' quick to dismiss our concerns and at the end they said they found our complaints "unfair" We did not find their service particularly charming.
Almudena Blanco: I am delighted with the management that The Charming Concept does of my apartment. They are absolutely professional in many aspects: agility in management, problem solving, kindness. And, in addition, the comments of the clients who stay in my house result in the same :) I recommend them without a doubt.
Carla Carrera Colarossi: A super comfortable and spacious apartment. The area is phenomenal, it is a residential area, safe and quiet. The best thing is that it is in the center and it is easy to get everywhere, either by taxi or public transport. It has a lot of light and the floor is well cared for. The kitchen, living room and bedrooms are super well equipped to literally live. We would certainly choose it again.

victor amparan: The truth is that I was surprised that this tourist apartment was so comfortable having direct access from the street and that it was also so quiet. We rented for days and we liked it a lot. The decoration and taste in details is exquisite. I had searched on temporary rental platforms such as Booking and Airbnb, where I saw the photos for the first time, but in the end I made the reservation directly via the web for this holiday accommodation on Calle Monederos on their page myself as an individual. I had to go for work and I did the online check-in in a few minutes, it also helped me that it was so well connected, so I requested the parking that they have arranged. The entire tourist apartment, the basic kitchen was very clean but with everything you may need and the mattress is very comfortable. We really liked "Madrid Río" and El Matadero and we took advantage of the great position to go to the Prado Museum and the Reina Sofía. It gave me a lot of security that they had both an urban planning license and a tourist license. It is also difficult to find homes for tourist use in the Center of Madrid that are so bright.
Aitor González: For me it is the first time in one of these tourist apartments in Madrid Río and I did not expect it to be better than in photography. Access to the tourist accommodation with the keyboards was very comfortable (they send you the codes after you have registered) and so you don't have to go anywhere to pick up the keys. The lighting is super adequate and a very nice environment is created and an atmosphere that seems from another era. The next time we take the opportunity to have dinner in Chueca or Malasaña, but this time with the Chinatown that is next door, the theme of gastronomy with top authentic Chinese restaurants was more than guaranteed and so we continue with the oriental mood of the apartment. We used a lot of utensils from the kitchen and everything was new. The mattress was one of those super comfortable ones and without a doubt it adapted very well to my body because between how comfortable the bed was and the curtains that darkened everything and did not let anything filter from the street, we slept wonderfully. I did not know that these types of luxury tourist apartments existed in such discreet places in Madrid.
Miguel Angel Lázaro Pedrero: Our stay in the apartment was unbeatable, very nice and cozy, the cleaning is optimal, perfect for a romantic getaway. Very close to the metro station to move easily around Madrid and leave your car in a very close and cheap parking. I will certainly repeat.

Álex Santos: We live in Madrid but we wanted to get out of the routine of our house and that is why we decided to spend a couple of nights in the Opium Den suite and visit the Madrid Río area, the Matadero and Chinatown. The experience in the area has been incredible and the Opium Den suite is wonderful, it is as reflected in the photos, but it is also a tourist apartment, comfortable and with a very curated design. During our getaway we didn't miss anything, that's why I give it five stars. Looking forward to return.

daniela rincon: Spectacular place where my partner and I stayed. Upon entering the first thing we saw was a swing hanging from the ceiling that we loved! The detail of the fortune cookies on the bed (reference to Chinatown, where the apartment is located) super special! The apartment was fully equipped for all comfort, we even had pillows of different hardness to choose from. The bathroom is amazing! Super big and where showering is quite an experience. Super close to the metro that communicates directly with the center! Willing to repeat!

Alejandro is super helpful and accommodating and a very good quick system of communication- absolutely recommended especially for solo travellers and long stays as it was a very safe hotel as well!!

Nasha Smith: I wish I could give 0 stars. This was easily the worst customer service experienced during the pandemic. Didn't change our dates as requested, wouldn't respond to messages and refused to even offer a voucher. Absolutely deplorable. I hope the 160 euros was worth losing two customers and more as I shall never recommend this place. EDIT: I asked to move to October because I was told I could shift my dates for up to a year. That request was not granted and you simply marked my trip as completed and stopped corresponding.

merna yako: The room itself isn’t too bad in size. The beds are super uncomfortable and the sheets were dirty!! Had to put a some towels so we could sleep on them. The cups, plates and cutlery were all dirty!!!! We had to go out buy plastics cups, plates, and cutlery so that we could eat. The only decent thing about this apartment is that the air con works and there is WiFi !!
Anna K.: The room and especially the bed linen absolutely stank of cigarettes. So did our clothes when we picked them off the sofa in the morning. Uncomfortable bed as well and the apartment very outdated altogether.

Ale Gaydou: The room was nice and spacious, spotless clean, crispy white linen and brand new pillows. The air conditioner and TV were in perfect condition and the toilet was small but very clean.
Rafa: Avoid this hotel. Sorry to say but I couldn't sleep (because there was a huge construction noise just outside the room from the closer [5 feet] building) and the staff, that knew perfectly well about this, only seemed to really cared about we still put 5 stars. They did not even apologized. It's impossible to sleep from 7 a.m till noon.

Ľubomír Melicherčík: At first we were dissapointed with the cleanliness (hiar in the shower, dirty bedsheet on the sofa-bed). We sorted this issue out by changing the bedsheet ourselves (fortunatelly, there were spare bedsheets and duvet covers prepared in the closet). Some pieces of the furniture were worn out (sofa probably the most). After several days we got over this initial disappointment and started to like it there. The location is good, close to the most important places one should see. I think I will come again dispite the cons mentioned above.

Michael Cuenca: One of the best places I've stayed. Clean, Efficient, Friendly, Great kitchen Central Location and best of all the coolest Airconditioning I've had in any hotel in Europe. The beds were also very comfortable and that includes the sofa bed. I have no complaints. Unit 204 is right on the Corner of Fuencaral. but the uinit is well insulated from outside noise. Great black out curtains and wooden blinds that open into the street. They even arranged Taxi service to pick up at 6 AM in front of the building. ( This is Fuencaral. and not an easy thing to do as it's mostly pedestrian. ). We even cheeked in early without a problem.
