Jo Stromze Su Casa TLV Academy: I chose Brains Nursery School Madrid long before we arrived in the city, and I couldn’t be happier with my decision. Their website has all the info one needs, even before going in for an interview, which I found to be very useful. Given that we raise our boys in a bilingual home, it was very important to us to have them go to an English-Spanish school, which is what Brains is about. Total language immersion. I love that it’s a modern, learning-forward daycare, that is also warm and welcoming and has children from all over the world. Relocating to a new country and having to navigate through the system, has its challenges. We were lucky to find the administration team to be incredibly helpful and very flexible with our situation. I found the class size and child/teacher ratio for both my sons to be a little bigger than what we are accustomed to, but it works well and the staff is reliable and highly professional. It took my younger son quite some time to adapt, but I am happy to say that he is finally settled in and goes in happily every morning. As for my eldest, he has adapted very well since day 1, despite the long hours which he was not used to. He enjoys going to school every morning, he has made friends, and he learns and experiences new things every day. They also offer extracurricular activities that are integrated into the weekly schedule, such as swimming, judo, dance, chess and more, which I think is great. Their lunch and snack menu is healthy and nutritious and I love how the staff updates us daily via an App, so I am informed of the activities they did that day, what (and how much) they ate, and in most days they attach videos or pictures of their day in school. It really gives a feeling of an all-encompassing institution. I highly recommend Brains Nursery School Madrid and we are lucky to have our boys enrolled.
Jeff Koegler: We have lived in Madrid for a little more than 7 months and have had our now 2 year old enrolled at Brains for nearly that entire time. I found the administration to be incredibly helpful in explaining all of their policies and techniques in English, so that I was comfortable even though my spouse speaks Spanish. It was very important to us to have our son exposed to both English and Spanish in school, which is something that Brains can provide. It definitely has the feel of a modern, learning-forward institution that really stays up-to-date with its techniques. Our son started out a little shy, but they were quick to make him feel welcome and it wasn't long before he was wanting to go to school in the morning. Class sizes are pretty good, though child/teacher ratio is a little larger than what you would find in the US. There are kids from all over the world, though most are Spanish. We get daily updates and photos via an app as well as verbal reports from the teacher. Also there are regular updates, either information about changes and even one-on-one parent/teacher conferences. Our sons teacher, Laura, feels like an extension of the family and our son blows kisses to her everyday when leaving. Compared to US daycare, especially for this quality, Brains is amazingly inexpensive. We did a pretty thorough review of local day cares, preferring to stay away from the religious options, and we found that we couldn't find anyone else that felt quite as complete and thorough. We love Brains and the teachers and think it is an excellent place for our child.
Christina Figiel: Both our kids have had the amazing experience to go to Brains Nursery. We love the school for many reasons: - the people: the director Monica who always cares and wants to make Brains the best nursery there is, Marisol at the reception who welcomes all kids and parents with a big smile, the fantastic teachers like Marta, Laura etc who our kids adore - the curriculum: I’ve never seen a nursery which provides the kids with so many different experiences. Different languages, music, experiments, art, sports starting from baby age. It might not be for everyone but we love the stimulation our kids receive there! - the excitement: there’s always something happening at Brains! They go all in for Halloween, carnival, the holidays etc. Thanks Brains!

Alicia Miller-Sherman: My 1 and 4 year olds attended for the 3 months we were in Madrid and it was wonderful. The staff, Director, and teachers were all lovely and accommodating. My kids happily went off to school each day and easily made friends. There's a doctor who stops by the school each morning which saved us having to navigate Spain's medical system. Both of my kids saw him for allergy issues. He was very kind and prescribed what we needed. I would be happy to have my kids continue attending if we were able to stay longer.

Fernando Ramos: Last November we decided to enroll our little one here, after having had a very bad experience in another center, and the truth is that the change has been a success. Ainoa Careaga: My experience has been very negative. I called on November 10 to request information. They asked me for my details (phone and email) and told me they would contact me. Ana Mª Fernandez: It is a nursery school that goes beyond that and they form a small family with the children. My one and a half year old daughter started going a few months ago and she is delighted. She goes every day with a smile and comes back very happy. These months there has evolved a lot! In addition, it is a tiny center, where there are only 2 classrooms and this makes the treatment much more personalized. They even send photos of the activities they do once or twice a week. Both the teachers and the director are charming and you can see that they enjoy their work. The environment that they have prepared is very good, clean and all toys without overstimulation and that allow developing the capacities of the little ones: wooden toys without batteries (some specific exceptions such as a table of lights, etc). They do not follow a pure Montessori/Waldorf methodology but they take many things from each of them. They use music a lot, they do a lot of crafts, they have many stories available to the children, from time to time they cook, a sensory and psychomotricity classroom, bilingualism... a wealth of activities without a doubt. There are days when I pick up my daughter and she turns inward! And for me the best thing and what makes it different from all the other nurseries in the neighborhood is its catering: lots of vegetables, fruits, fish, no fried foods, sugar-free foods... the healthiest you can find and also delicious because they eat it ALL! Without a doubt, I recommend it with my eyes closed.

Karina Fuentes Camperos: I think it is a perfect place for our children to develop their activities in a safe way with autonomy and also immerse them in the ecological issue and without forgetting English. Esteban Rastrollo: Our son is a student at the school and we couldn't be more honest with her. The directors, teachers and all the staff at the center are very affectionate with the children and this means that their adaptation has been very fast and that they go to school very happy every day. His teaching method encourages creativity and learning. In a very short time we have noticed very significant progress in our son. On the other hand, both the facilities and the educational materials and toys they use are top quality. Especially important to us is the school's emphasis on using natural and non-harmful products. Finally, we would also like to highlight the good functioning that the center makes of the App for parents. Through it, parents can follow up almost in real time on how our children are spending the day (what activities or games they have done, how they have eaten, see photos of them at school, etc). All in all, we are very happy with SuperKids and we definitely recommend it to all parents.

jean Wilmain thouard: I had read the excellent comments on the internet, so for 1 year I have been traveling 1 hour every day to drop off our son and frankly it's worth it. Our 2-year-old son is fulfilled, trilingual and developing at breakneck speed. What I like the most is that it remains a human-sized school with 8-9 children for 1, sometimes even 2 teachers. This is the best Montesouri school in Madrid!

Laura Fernández Calle: It is the second year that my son goes to this nursery and we could not be happier. The teachers are very affectionate and every morning they welcome us with a smile. I am very grateful for your help last year when we started new, for your patience and effort so that my son came happy. If you want the teacher to call you or there is any issue that worries you, Ana attends to you right away and gives you a solution. We will be sad when we finish this course. If we have a second child we will choose them again.
ANDREA BARTOLI: Very happy and excited about the education that my daughters have in the nursery. The teachers are super loving and friendly. Always willing to listen to you and talk about your little ones. It is already the second school year of my eldest daughter and my baby started with less than 8 months, with a lot of fear on my part for being so small, but now I am very happy and calm to leave her in her school with the love and education that give.

Miguel Ángel Gómez: Good morning to all, We are presented with this opportunity to express our experience in the St. Alice's nursery in Madrid. Our son attended this nursery during both courses, for two reasons. First, because of the proximity to our house. Second and more importantly, for the place that, apparently, the nursery gave us at the school with which they have a concert, the one we had chosen for our son. That said, we feel the moral obligation to report that the treatment received, by the management or director, has been absolutely unpresentable during the two years. And I give data; -In the first place, nobody is firmly guaranteed a place for their son in the school with which they have a concert. They only commit verbally and in very bad ways. Not to mention a written commitment. The most serious aspect of this point is that a few months before the end of the last year in the nursery, the director demanded that we pay the last month's payments in advance in order to “guarantee our son's place” at the school in question. That is, just a detail of the way of proceeding at St. Alice's. -At other times, we were required to pay in cash for school supplies and uniforms -attention- "for reasons of Covid". When the procedure for Covid reasons was card payment, precisely the opposite. All parents have received these types of demands by email. Of course we have contrasted these issues with other parents, by not giving credit to such teasing. These are just two examples of the constant attitude of this nursery with parents. Really, they have treated us as if we were fools, and what is worse, incited by the controversial, difficult, pesetero, capricious and tremendously unfair and cacique character of its director. I honestly hope that this message encourages other parents who have been through the same situation to express their opinions and experiences at St. Alice's. Thank you very much for your time. Francisco Javier Espejo González: My son goes to this nursery and he is very happy. The truth is that day by day we see its evolution and the love they give it. The nursery also helps the child to speak English from a young age and the staff is very nice and always attentive to him. The companions are very nice and when he sees them in the park they interact very well with each other. In short, we are very happy and we will repeat with the little sister who is on the way.

My daughter sings and "reads" her stories in English to her brother. Next year we will no longer be able to go to kindergarten, but we would repeat the experience with our eyes closed.
Javier C: I have been taking my two-year-old daughter since September 2020 and I only have good words for this nursery. Ellen, Paulina, Samantha and the rest of the team make my daughter's first educational experience second to none. David Betancort: We like the nursery. We were happy with the teacher Vicky who was a charm (pity that it was temporary). Tuba B. Talmor: This is an amazing school, unfortunately they don't have a college for primary level. They have an amazing staff of teachers (Laura & Adriana) and the curriculum. My son has learnt how to read at 4 and a half years old. They have a lot of patients with kids and play with them a lot. We have been suggested to work with the school speech therapist (Lucia), it was a great idea and its part of the daily activities my son has. His speech has improved a lot since we started taking our classes. Kudos to everyone at Alaria Bernabeu.

Marina Torralba Calvo: Wonderful experience that we have lived in this nursery school. I briefly tell my story in case it can help someone when choosing. I am the mother of twins, a boy and a girl. I found this center because last year we moved to the area. My son was diagnosed with ASD during the course and even though we already knew something, it has been very hard for my family. In San Jorge from the minute 1 that we commented on our suspicions, they offered us all kinds of support and affection and they have given us all the facilities in the world so that our little one can work and be comfortable during the day. Through Cinthya, the director of the school, we met María, a therapist specialized in ASD, for us she has been an angel fallen from heaven since she has helped us so much in this process that we have no words of gratitude. Cinthya opened the doors of her school for us so that my son could receive therapy during class hours and thus make life easier for us, something for which we will be eternally grateful. You have been light and support in this process and without you it would have been more difficult for us. How much it is to thank you, leaving our children and leaving calm knowing that they will be well cared for and cared for.
